Music when the lights come on

A SHIFT Nation Festival is built around the evening. Racing, drifting, time attack and roll racing run under lights, and when the last session is done the music starts. The stage sits in the paddock precinct, next to the car club displays and the Partner Precinct, so the crowd that watched the racing is the crowd at the show.

It is the car culture half of the festival: a motorsport weekend that feels like a night out, not a car park that empties at dusk.

Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland and South Australia

Live music runs at all four festivals: The Bend in South Australia in February, Calder Park in Melbourne in April, Queensland Raceway near Brisbane in September and Sydney Motorsport Park in October. Line-ups are announced with each festival program, on this page and on the SHIFT Nation channels.

Where live music runs in 2027

Every round is a full SHIFT Nation Festival: circuit racing, drifting, time attack and roll racing on track, car clubs, sim racing, live music and kids entertainment off it, running into the night under lights.
