Smoke, noise and a crowd on the fence

Drifting is the part of a SHIFT Nation Festival people hear before they see. It runs alongside the circuit racing at every round, with the sessions timed so the crowd that came for the racing is on the fence when the drift cars go out.

At Queensland Raceway and Sydney Motorsport Park drifting runs on the circuit itself. At The Bend and Calder Park it runs on the skid pad, close to the paddock and the car club displays.

Run with the drift community

SHIFT Nation works alongside the operators, clubs and organisers who already run drifting in each state, rather than starting a rival program. Entry classes and requirements come with each festival program.

Drift under lights

Every festival runs into the night. At The Bend, Calder Park and Queensland Raceway that is Saturday night, at Sydney Motorsport Park it is Friday night, and drifting under lights is where the festival earns its name.

Where drifting runs in 2027

Every round is a full SHIFT Nation Festival: circuit racing, drifting, time attack and roll racing on track, car clubs, sim racing, live music and kids entertainment off it, running into the night under lights.
