A day out for the whole family

Motorsport has a habit of being a day out for one person and a long wait for everyone else. SHIFT Nation is built the other way: a kids area at every festival, the car club displays to wander, sim racing rigs for the older ones, food and drink in the precinct, and live music in the evening, with the racing, drifting and time attack going on around it all.

Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland and South Australia

Kids entertainment runs at all four festivals: The Bend in South Australia in February, Calder Park in Melbourne in April, Queensland Raceway near Brisbane in September and Sydney Motorsport Park in October. What is on for kids at each one is announced with its program.

Bringing the family

Ear protection for little ones near the track is a good idea at any motorsport event, and the paddock precinct is pram-friendly. Family and kids ticket details come with each festival program; register your interest and they reach you first.

Where kids runs in 2027

Every round is a full SHIFT Nation Festival: circuit racing, drifting, time attack and roll racing on track, car clubs, sim racing, live music and kids entertainment off it, running into the night under lights.

03Do kids need ear protection?

Near the track, yes, as at any motorsport event. Bring earmuffs for little ones.
