Circuit racing

Traditional circuit racing is the spine of every SHIFT Nation Festival. Sanctioned, wheel-to-wheel competition on four of Australia’s best circuits, running into the night under lights.

Racing with a festival around it

SHIFT Nation was built to give competitors and categories a new home. Each festival is a two or three day event with circuit racing at its centre and drifting, time attack and roll racing alongside, so a category that joins the calendar races in front of a crowd that has come for the whole show, not just the one session.

The format is deliberately simple: affordable, accessible motorsport, run by an organisation that hosts the event itself and manages the racing and the promotion in-house, with the Australian Auto Sport Alliance providing sanctioning and insurance.

Four circuits, four states

The season opens at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia in February, then moves to Calder Park on Melbourne’s doorstep in April, Queensland Raceway at Willowbank in September and Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek in October. A dedicated SHIFT Nation Race event in Victoria closes the year in November.

Every festival runs into the evening under lights, Saturday night at The Bend, Calder Park and Queensland Raceway, Friday night at Sydney Motorsport Park.
